As president of Comcast Regional Sports Television and president and CEO of Comcast SportsNet, Jack has been the guiding force behind the success of the regional sports networks and oversees the operations in the Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington and Chicago markets.

A pioneer of cable television in the United States, Jack has played an integral role in creating, developing and operating television ventures around the world and Comcast SportsNet is the latest addition to an already impressive career.

Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia was launched in October 1997, and was joined in April 2001, by Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, which serves the Baltimore and Washington markets. With the addition of Comcast SportsNet Chicago in October 2004, the three networks combine to reach over ten million households.

Under Jack’s guidance, Comcast SportsNet provides the best in local sports coverage to each of its markets, and the February 2003 launch of Comcast SportsNet HDTV reflects the network’s commitment to providing fans the best viewing experience available. That commitment continues with investments designed to expand an already aggressive HD production schedule in all three network markets.

Jack’s career has taken him across the globe, where he was responsible for the launch or operations of several networks including Philadelphia-based PRISM, FilmNet, serving Holland and the Scandinavian countries, the Los Angeles-based Z Channel and served as president of SportsChannel Networks. Prior to joining Comcast SportsNet, Jack served as president and CEO of Spectacor, the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment group, which owned the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Spectrum.

A graduate of Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Jack and his wife, Lois, reside in Philadelphia, PA.
